Larry AaronsA true native New Yorker from the Bronx. Larry studied to be a portrait realist illustrator and graduated from the School of Visual Arts in NYC.
His mantra has always been "To Reach The Head You Must Touch The Heart." That manta is so true with the “Defense of the Species” sculptures. The “Defense of the Species” collection was created by the artist as a way to bring attention and renounce the cruelty which humans subject other species. As one who could not even hurt a fly he hopes to raise consciousness about the beauty and the right of all creatures to exist on our planet. Larry wants his grandchildren to know he did something with his art to bring attention to help save the animals. Larry intends on giving a portion of all sales to World Wild Life Fund. He has been named as “One of the top artist’s to watch in 2015” and is also the 2015 recipient “Prestigious Salmagundi / American Artists President’s Award”. Along with many other awards and accolades. |
